Managing Your Cookie Preferences
The consent bar at the bottom of the homepage gives you three plain actions. Accept stores a consent record that allows essential, analytics and preference cookies, and the bar will not reappear on that device. Manage expands a short panel with individual toggles for Analytics and Preference cookies - Essential cookies stay on because the platform cannot function without them - and a Save choices button writes exactly the combination you picked. The dismiss cross in the corner simply closes the bar without granting any non-essential consent: essential cookies still load so you can browse and sign in, but analytics and preference cookies stay off until you actively opt in through Manage.
You can also control cookies at the browser level: every major browser lets you block, delete or clear cookies from its settings menu. Doing so is your right, and periodically reviewing stored permissions is a sound privacy habit. However, blocking essential cookies will sign you out repeatedly and may stop features such as incognito visibility from remembering your last setting, since those preferences rely on the same browser storage.
Third-Party Cookies Disclosure
MatureSearch keeps third-party cookies to a narrow, functional list rather than the broad advertising networks common on many dating platforms. Independent privacy research has found that a large share of dating apps - on the order of 80% - share or sell user data to outside parties, often disclosed only in lengthy terms-of-service documents that members rarely read in full. We take the opposite position: MatureSearch does not sell cookie data to advertising networks or data brokers, and any analytics processor we use receives only aggregate, non-identifying usage statistics. Full detail on how account data, as distinct from cookie data, is collected, used and shared is set out in our MatureSearch Privacy Policy.
Withdrawing Your Consent
You can change your mind about non-essential cookies at any time. Withdrawing consent takes a few short steps:
- Scroll to the bottom of any page and look for the floating cookie bar; if it is not visible, reload the page once to trigger it again.
- Select Manage to open the Analytics and Preference toggles, switch off the categories you no longer want, then select Save choices.
- Clear stored cookies from your browser’s privacy settings if you want to remove existing values immediately rather than wait for them to expire.
- Expect some personalization to reset once Preference cookies are off — your saved distance range and visibility setting revert to defaults until you set them again.
Withdrawing consent does not affect your account membership, which is governed separately by our MatureSearch Terms & Conditions; it only changes which optional cookies your browser is allowed to store.
Updates to This Cookie Policy
We review this Cookie Policy periodically and update it when we add, remove or change a category of cookie. Material changes are announced through a notice on the homepage consent bar the next time you visit, prompting you to confirm your choices again. Minor clarifications, such as rewording for plain language, are published directly on this page without a separate notice. The version in front of you is always the current one; there is no separate archive of older cookie policies to consult.
